Firestopping
Building and fire codes require that any penetration
through fire or smoke-rated walls and floors, whether by
building services (mechanical, electrical, plumbing
services) or construction joints (horizontal, vertical,
perimeter/slab edge) must be restored to maintain the
original fire-resistance rating.
This is
achieved using tested, certified and approved firestop
systems, installed in accordance with applicable codes,
standards and manufacturer specifications. The aim is to
stop the spread of fire, smoke, toxic gases, noxious fumes
from penetrating fire-rated walls and floors. Our firestop
solutions help restore the rating of a floor or wall,
